Housing

The Loop campus of Roosevelt University is the host site of Camp Castle. Featuring hotel-like living suites, an eatery that will satisfy every appetite, an array of lounges recreation center and the Goodman Center’s state of the art sports facility, the Fine Arts Building and Grant Park. Single and double rooming options selections are available.

Activities

BASKETBALL
Our basketball program, focuses on fundamentals and becoming a complete player through drills, scrimmages and intra-camp competitive games. (Groups 3-11)
MODERN DANCE
With an emphasis on technique development and choreography, our instructors encourage young dancers to grow their confidence and love of dance through rigorous training in a non-competitive environment. (Groups 5-11)
TENNIS
Beginners play fun games designed to teach basic stroke production, court position and movement. Advanced players focus on tournament readiness via drills and match play. (Groups 3-11)
VOLLEYBALL
Our program is carefully designed to advance campers’ skills in all fundamentals areas, including serving, setting, passing, attacking, blocking, and digging. Campers engage in a heavy rotation of drills and competitive play during the session. (Groups 5-11)

Project Based Enrichment

STEM
During the session each camper will engage daily in a project theme designed to cultivate a love for science, technology, math and engineering. Possible themes include Forensic Science, Aerospace Engineering, Hybrid Technology, Brain Surgery and Robotics.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Campers in groups 5 through 11 will learn how to take an idea and develop it into a business. Projects are collaborative, and focus on developing skills in financial literacy, critical thinking and communication.Campers will also experience the business cycle, in a competitive team format.
CODING
Groups 3 & 4 campers will be guided through curriculum that teaches coding for kids through a world of interactive puzzles and playful characters. Over the first few days they will master the basics of programming language, before progressing to take on a series of challenges and step up to more advanced tasks.

 Roosevelt University’s McCormick options are available to satisfy every dietary restriction and meal preferences. Menu items are available on the Roosevelt University website.
 Campers will enjoy a wide selection of cuisines beginning with dinner on Sunday evening through lunch on Friday.
